Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Amsterdam Schiphol airport is the most important and the largest airport in the Netherlands and in the top five in Europe. The airport is located about 19km southwest of Amsterdam. The airport has one single Terminal. There are three parts of departures and arrivals halls, these consist of Arrivals 1, 2 and 3 (located on the ground floor), and Departures 1, 2 and 3 (located on the first floor).
Car parking: There are a couple of short term car parks named P1 and P2, and are both in walking distance from the Schiphol Plaza and the Terminal.
There is a large open air long stay car park (P3) approximately 5km from the Terminal and a shuttle bus transports passengers to and from the Terminal. There is a luxury car park (P7) also available with valet service if required.
Shops: There are several shops including a supermarket (open 24 hours) and a duty free.
Luggage: The left luggage is available daily located near arrivals 1 and 2.
Informational Desk: The information desks are situated near passport control at Schiphol Plaza and also in arrival halls 2 and 3.
Money: There are several banks, as well as bureaux de change and ATM's.
Communications: At Telecomrentcentre in the Schiphol Plaza there is a mobile telephone hire facility. There is also Multiphone Multimedia telephone units Which are used for telephoning. There is also Internet access available in several places in the airport.
Medical Facilities: There is a medical centre and a pharmacy at the airport.
