Benidorm - Costa Blanca, Spain

Benidorm is located in the Costa Blanca in Spain. It lies in the province of Alicante and is approximately 30 miles (48km) along the coast from Alicante town. The holiday resort has over four million visitors a year, and is the largest resort in Spain.

Benidorm is in beautiful location with a rocky promontory, separating two attractive sandy bays. La Cala located nearby, also has a sandy bay, and has lots of evening entertainment including rock and Jazz music. The Levante Side is where you will find the discos and nightclubs, which are very lively.

Places of Interest:

Peacock Island is a large offshore island with many birds. There are boat trips available around the island, and there are fantastic views of Benidorm from the island. Surrounding the island is a marine reserve, where you can see the beaufitul marine underwater life and the many schools of fish. The boats leave from the island back to Benidorm approximately every hour.

There are two main beaches in Benidorm, the Playa de Levante, which has a large promenade, cafes and bars and gets very busy in Summer months. The Playa de Poniente beach is generally not as busy in the peak season. This beach does not have the large rocks and therefore provides a beatiful sunset in the evening.

The Cable Ski is in operation at the Rincon de Loix in the Summer season, and here you can have diving lessons, rent a Jetski or a boat. Benidorm Palace provides a big Las Vegas style show, which includes flamenco dancing, magicians, an orchestra and many more entertainers produce a fantastic three hour show for all the family.
