Staines - Rental Cars

Staines lies about seventeen miles (27km) from central London, and is located within the London Commuter Belt of South East England. Spelthorne Borough Council voted to change the name of the town to Staines-Upon-Thames to boost the local economy, and promote it's close proximity to the River Thames. Due to the location of the town being so close to London, Staines is home to many offices of large companies, including Logica, Bupa, Siemens and several more. Staines town centre also has many large retail outlets such as Debenhams, Marks And Spencer, Waitrose, PC World and many more. In two thousand and two, The Two Rivers retail park, and was located at the confluence of the rivers Colne and Wraysbury. There are several retailers, a cinema, cafes and a gym.

Staines Transport:

Staines Railway Station has services to Reading, Windsor, Weybridge, London Waterloo and Eton Riverside. The bus station is a short walk from the railway station, and also taxis are available at the train station.

Education:

There are many schools in Staines, including The Magna Carta School, which is a technology college and caters for more than fifteen hundred pupils. Other schools include Staines Preparatory School for ages between three and eleven. Brooklands College located in Ashford, is the nearest further institution to the town, and lies about three miles East of Staines.
